United Way Chennai (UWC) is a chapter of United Way Worldwide, which tops the list of the world’s largest charities. We are part of a 127 year old worldwide movement engaged in more than 40 countries worldwide. Through our global network, we positively impact up to 50 million people every year by focusing on education, income and health – the building blocks for a good quality of life and a strong community.

About United Way Chennai
United Way Chennai is one of the seven United Way chapters in India. It was established in the year 2010 and aims to develop, support and strengthen community service projects and improve lives by acting as an intermediary between the corporate and the development sector, promoting corporate social responsibility and working as a catalyst to increase the flow of resources from all parts of society for community and social development projects.

The primary areas of focus for UWC has been in the Education, Healthcare, Income and Livelihood sectors and we have grown from strength to strength in the past few years in terms of the no. of projects executed, the impact on the ground and the network that we have built to help us achieve our targets.
